Position Summary:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for assisting with managing the sales cycle from start to finish, including managing contract negotiations and obtaining a final sign-off. Assisting with managing staff and setting expectations for metrics and goals that align with the company. Key responsibilities include coordinating onboarding, taking the lead on new client communications, developing, and implementing a strategic program for marketing initiatives.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Review and organize contracts for existing and incoming clients.
- Manage the pipeline of prospective clients.
- General awareness of the political landscape with an emphasis on Federal and State politics.
- Lead pitch meetings, review background briefs to relevant teams.
- Review of proposals and contracts for incoming clients.
- Build and manage internal relationships with the client services and support teams.
- Coordinate with client services teams on proposed client pricing.
- Ensure that business development strategies are aligned with annual organizational goals and targets.
- Weekly check in meetings to track progress to goals.
- Assist with some onboarding responsibilities.
- Oversee the development department staff in fulfilling their responsibilities.

Associates are primarily responsible for entering the data and keeping client records up-to-date to allow the senior members of the team to more easily respond to the client and problem solve. Although the most junior position in the firm, it is also the most critical since many of the decisions we will make, either on behalf of the client, or with regard to internal structure, depend on the work the Associates do.
Essential Functions:
- Process campaign contributions into compliance and accounting databases.
- Screen for and address any compliance issues with campaign contributions.
- Assist senior members of the team with weekly client deliverables; such as the cash-on-hand report.
- Assist senior members of the team with monthly and quarterly reconciliations.
- Generate simplified income and expense reports as needed.
- Track and process expenses for the client.
- Correspond with vendors and donors on client’s behalf.
- Assists senior members of the team with disbursements for accounts payable.
- Produce consistent results.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
