Position Summary:
The Business Development Associate is responsible for assisting the Development team to ensure revenue goals are being met, including drafting proposals and contracts, managing the firm’s contact list, scheduling new business meetings and other administrative functions. In addition, this position will include some onboarding and marketing responsibilities. Key responsibilities include coordinating calendars, drafting of Development materials, updating various trackers so we can track progress to goal.
Essential Functions:
- Draft, track, and organize contracts for existing and incoming clients.
- Update and manage MBA’s contacts in the database.
- Schedule pitch meetings and provide background briefers to relevant teams.
- Draft, track, and organize proposals for prospective clients.
- Weekly check in meetings to track progress to goals.
- Assist with some onboarding responsibilities.
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines.
- Strong contract negotiations abilities.
- Excellent work ethic and ability to be a self-starter.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
- Full-time Exempt; 40 hours per week (subject to increase during an election “on” year and during filing and tax periods involving evenings and weekends).
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration; Political Science or related field.
- A good understanding of CRM and SaaS databases such as Salesforce.
- 1-3 years of experience in managing campaigns, developing staff, and building departments.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience developing working relationships at all levels of management.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
Salary Range: $60,000 to $75,000

Position Summary:
An Associate at MBA will be assigned to one or more client teams depending on the size and complexities of the client(s) to which they are assigned. Associates are primarily responsible for entering the data and keeping client records up-to-date to allow the senior members of the team to more easily respond to the client and problem solve. Although the most junior position in the firm, it is also the most critical since many of the decisions we will make, either on behalf of the client, or with regard to internal structure, depend on the work the Associates do.
Essential Functions:
- Process campaign contributions into compliance and accounting databases.
- Screen for and address any compliance issues with campaign contributions.
- Assist senior members of the team with weekly client deliverables; such as the cash-on-hand report.
- Assist senior members of the team with monthly and quarterly reconciliations.
- Generate simplified income and expense reports as needed.
- Track and process expenses for the client.
- Correspond with vendors and donors on client’s behalf.
- Assists senior members of the team with disbursements for accounts payable. Produce consistent results.
